With Issy's endless curiosity about when it's actually Christmas, I made her a picture calendar with pictures/photos to show when birthdays are and which days are school, kindergym and library days.
It's a big success, and she can't wait to cross the day off at bedtime.
So much has happened since my last post!
Not surprising seeing as my last post was at the beginning of the month and we are almost at the end of October.
Time always seems to fly in the last couple months of the year.
And I really should post about things as they happen, so as not to have a couple of huge posts every now and again!
We attended Issy's friend Chloe's 2nd birthday party. Issy was in heaven at the Dora themed birthday bash. She also took some photos for Chloe's Mum:
(some of the presents)Chloe's Mum is also a great cupcake maker!

And the fact they were pink
and in Princess cases was almost too much for Issy!
We had a great time catching up with friends and helping Chloe celebrate the big 2.
Despite the picture for Kindergym being on the calendar last week, we didn't get to the class :( I had to get new tyres on the car, and I accidentally made the appointment for the same time as Kindergym.
And for the last couple of days Issy has been sick. Her temperature was up and down, and she was complaining about a sore ear. It got so bad on Saturday night I contemplated taking her to emergency. She fell asleep in the car, and I drove around for a while trying to decide whether to wake her or not. Sunday she seemed a bit better and went to the beach with Nana, Grandad and Aunties Amy, Sarah and Emily. But Sunday night was more of the same (although not as bad as Saturday as I had Panadol for her). So Monday we went to the doctor and found out she has an ear infection :(
She was fantastic in the doctors office. We had read
Time to See the Doctor in the waiting room, and played doctors with her doctor kit, so when he asked to check her out, she was cool, calm and collected. She did ask me where her sticker was (like in the book) but was not worried about it.
As were walking out she told me, "Mum, I was a brave girl". She was indeedy!
She is on a round of antibiotics to clear up her infection, and she is slowly bouncing back to her wildly energetic self.
She didn't go to school today, and we will see how she goes for Kindergym tomorrow.
There is about a week and a half till Ali's wedding, and I am getting excited!
I put together a couple of CDs full of songs for the preparation stages of the wedding.
Issy keeps practicing walking down the aisle, and the other day, she tossed her 'bouquet' when she reached the end!
Can't wait to see what she does on the day :)
