Yesterday Princess and I went to visit my very pregnant friend S. She was offically six days past her due date yesterday, and had had some 'twinges' in the morning - enough to wake her up, but not enough to worry her.
She was worrying about having to be induced, and we were trying to think of things she could do to bring on labour...
This morning I received a text message letting me know that S had her baby boy last night at 3.53am!
I cannot wait to meet little baby Z!!
There are so many people I know having babies lately - really makes me clucky!!
Have a lot of little Princess-isms to share, but will leave you with this:

Just a Random Blog!
I have 16 hours to go until I can attempt my driving test!
I mentally kick myself everytime I think about how I haven't done all this sooner. I could have racked up my 50 hours in the nine months before Princess was born - it would have been easier to do then, and who what that would have open up for us!
My sister was talking about a blog she visits yesterday, so I searched for it (yes, another one M!)
The blog is Post Secret, and I urge you to check it out. Some of the secrets made me laugh, and some had me trying very hard to hold back the tears.
I am so tempted to buy the books....

This is Princess's favourite song at the moment!
Actually, anything comes on the radio, or one of her Aunties start playing a song and she says, "I love this song... It's my favourite!"
We went and saw Horton Hears A Who on Thursday - she loved it! Her one of her favourite characters from the movie is Jojo:
Princess had a great day today. After we established that the Easter Bunny would not be delivering her eggs personally this morning when she woke up, she was happy to get out of bed! The Easter Bunny gave her a new outfit (jeans and a cute shirt), 'Horton Hears A Who' and 'Horton Hatches the Egg', and some small chocolates in a carrot shaped bag (photos to follow later!)
Ross Noble is touring Australia!! I am hoping to go and see his show!! For those who don't know him, here is a little clip from 'Thank God You're Here'
About This Video (taken straigh from YouTube):
This is one of my favourite Thank God You're Here skits. Thank God You're Here is an awesome Australian comedy skit show where you are put into a room completely oblivious to what you will face!
Hope you enjoy all the videos!!!

Poor Princess
Princess had her first injury (with blood) on Wednesday...
She was playing on some equipment and tripped and hit her mouth. She has a cut on her top lip, and it was very swollen, but it is healing nicely.
She was so very upset about it, but after a visit to Aunty A and M, she was much happier - she loves her Aunties and visiting them always makes her happy.
on Thursday, we went to see "Horton Hears A Who" - it was great. Princess loved it, except for towards the end... but I wont ruin it for those who haven't seen it yet....

No Zoo today....
I was stressing out a bit last night about going to the zoo - Princess and I have always gone on big outings with someone else so I was worrying about whether to take her pram, would she sit it, would it just be a pain getting on and off public transport, would she wander off while we were at the Zoo, in the city etc......
This morning, Princess woke up with a twinkle in her eye, excited about going to the zoo.... until it was time to get dressed!!
She refused to take her jammies off and get dressed, no matter what I said about missing the bus that would take us to the train, which would take us to the zoo...
So we are home today. And Princess is still not dressed! There were major dramas about putting her knickies on after she went to the bathroom, so she is wearing her pj top and her dressing gown!
Horton Hears A Who comes out tomorrow, and she is very excited to see that so we may be going tomorrow, and the Royal Easter Show starts tomorrow too, so we will be going down to that - maybe next week....

A little bit of everything!
Princess is on the mend! She is still a little sniffly, but much better!
We washed the car on the weekend - or rather, I washed the car and Princess washed my L plates, and herself!
Princess accidently got sprayed by the hose (she was on the other side of the car I was washing!) and decided that her clothes were much to wet to wear (a little damp - if that!) so stripped off and went hunting for her swimmers!
While she was searching for and putting on her swimmers, I had just about finished the car - such a good help isn't she! So I moved to bucket of water in order to move the car, but was told not to tip it out - Princess was having too much fun playing in the dirty water :S
After her swimmers got wet after all the jumping in and out of the bucket, she had to take them off too - she had a glorious time running around the backyard nekkid!!
Is there a better way to finish off a hot afternoon than with an iceblock??
That evening we celebrated my Mum's birthday with a family dinner on the back verandah - and a game of spotlight. For those who have never played, it is basically hide-and-seek at night with a torch! We played this at Christmas too and Princess had a ball - until she had to hide for too long and started getting fidgety because she wanted to go back to the light!
Today was dancing day again, we have had non-stop talk about dancing and practice of the bits and pieces that the class did last week, so I thought she would be more willing to give it a try today.
We get to dancing and it was all good, she was excited to be there, she kept talking about getting the uniform (I kept telling her after she goes to dancing a couple more times by herself then she can get it!) - she went into the studio by HERSELF!!, but then came out quickly, tried again, but was out the door just as soon as she walked in!!I gave her a pep-talk, told her she doesn't need to dance, she can just watch... She didn't want to watch unless I was in the studio with her....
So we left after about 10 minutes of to-ing and fro-ing. As soon as we are out the door she started crying about wanting to go dancing! I asked her if she wanted to go in the room and watch the other kids.. "NO!" Oookay, off we go and after another 5 or so steps she starts crying again!!
And tomorrow we are off to the zoo! Princess is most excited about catching the train and the boat(ferry - but if it's called that she thinks we are going to see the fairies?!)
Hey M - did you know that if you click on the photo you can see it original size??? Just a thought for your blog ;)

Princess is Sick
For the last couple days Princess has had a runny nose - which has now progressed to a chesty cough :(
I have the ventilator on for her tonight, she has had some medicine and a double dosing of Vicks on her chest and back. The poor princess does not sound good when she is sleeping, but seems to bounce back during the day.
After she has a big cough, she tells me "I got a bad cough!" just incase I didn't hear it!
We have been doing a lot of driving with my D (sister F's boyfiend), and have now past the halfway mark!! I have just over 26 hours of driving under my belt, and need about 24 more until I can go for my driving test!
It's my Mum's birthday on Monday - I am so stuck for gift ideas! Any suggestions??

Dancing Attempt #2
Today was the 'Babies Jazz' class at the dance school Princess kinda goes to.
We went along to see if she liked it better than our last attempt (acro/gym).
In the past, this class has had little kids as young as 2 years old, so I wasn't too worried about how Princess would go because there may be littlies just like her....
I think the youngest there today was 3 and a half/four years old. Usually Mums, Dads etc. wait out in the foyer during the class, but I ended up inside when my plan to take Princess into the room and then leave went pear-shaped. There were a lot of kids, and we got caught in the rush of things.
She kept telling me though that she wanted some of "the clothes out the door" - the 'uniform shop' is located in the foyer near the door! And she wanted the sane shoes as the other kids in the class - some of the children has jazz shoes on (even though they are not needed for that age class)

"Kid's Rock"
I came across this through my Facebook.
This is how I feel at the moment when driving around listening to Justine Clarke and lots and lots of nursery rhymes!

It's a Frog!!
We found a frog today while laying about reading books on my bed - it was on the outside of the window and Princess loved it! We can usually hear the frogs croaking, but can't find them because they hide!
(what we could see of the frog)
(the itty-bitty thing)
The other night, I tried to get a photo of how long Princess's hair is now - that kid has a lot of hair - more than any of her friends!
Because her hair curls at the bottom, if its not soaked with water, it starts to curl, so getting this photo was hard - trying to get Princess to sit still for any amount of time at the moment is a big ask!
But look how long my two year old's hair is! She started out with a head full of black hair, and it has slowly changed to match my hair colour a bit :)
I love that is curls at the ends, she has gorgeous shiny hair!
Tonight, Princess is having a sleep-over at Aunty A and M's tonight, which means I have a full free night and most of tomorrow to knock over a lot of studying and get a good start on my assignment.

Ideas, Ideas and More Ideas!
Just finished watching 'The Day After Tomorrow' and what happened - we get hit with a MASSIVE storm - cracking thunder (that scares the bejesus out of me!), enough lightening to make it look like day outside - you know what I mean... Meanwhile, Princess is curled up in her bed oblivious to it all (although, if it keeps up like this, she might wake!)
I have been thinking more and more about what I want to do in Princess's room when we move - not that anything is set, I just keep finding gorgeous things (on American blogs no less!) and get inspired to create a room like that for Princess.
I have a certain idea in my head of what I want her room to look like - now I just need to find similar pieces within my price range!!
We played with the plasticine today - always a call for a photos ;)
I had about 20 small pots of the stuff to make various 'snowmen' out of for Princess
These are her "girls"
Apparently it started to rain in Plasticine World according to Princess so I quickly had to make houses for them - one for the "guys" and one for the "ladies and girls".
Beside the houses there was also a sandpit and trees, but they soon become people as well!

Uni, Uni and more Uni!
Uni studies are well under way, so with the everyday going-ons of being Mum as well as studying and trying to get my hours of driving up, I have neglected my poor little blog!
M has taken and edited more photos of Princess which are quite devine!
It was hard picking my favourite one so I have included a couple:

Apparently, whenever Princess visits her Aunties, she goes out to the backyard, collects these two rocks which are known as her "babies"! (Her shirt is also one of my favourites - it says 'I love Music, Mirrors, Mermaids, Mum' - which is absolutely Princess! And its fluro!)
These gumboots are too big for Princess, but she still loves to put them on whenever she visits A and M. She is a huge fan of gumboots, raincoats and unbrellas! Bring on winter :)
This is her serious thinking face at the moment.
Princess has decided that she is too old for her after lunch nap! It was only about half an hour to an hour long, but lately she tells me that "the sun is STILL up Mum!"
She still needs to have a sleep during the day, her poor little body needs a little R&R after being on the go - maybe if she is up earlier that will help - but that doesn't really help my studying!!!!
